I Am Only Human

I am only human made of flesh and bones, as are all of you. I feel pain and joy as you all do. The scars of life I boldly wear.

Sometimes I am lost for answers, just as the man next to me is. Sometimes my cross is too much to bear. At times like this I need to sit and rest, for the path is not always easy, when you find yourself on uneven ground.

I chose this path, just the same as everyone reading these words. If I fail for a time, I should not hold shame. For I am only human and are bound to make mistakes, though I am also bound to this path.

I seek the light, as you all do, to brighten sky’s that become dark. Night passes daily to light, so rest assure, when I see my darkness, light will surely follow. I am only human bound to the cycles of time.

One day the cross I bear will find a home, I can leave it on a mountain top. Leave it as a beacon for all others that follow the true path.

Forgive Yourself For Not Knowing Better

We all make mistakes, we all act badly at sometime or another, non of us are perfect. None of us can see clearly the consequence of every action. Sometimes things happen contrary to what we think will happen.

People do not always act the way you expect, you could kick a man and expect retaliation, you would be surprised if he smiled at you instead. But it has been known to happen. You could buy a friend flowers, expecting a nice response, and instead you get them thrown back at you, that has been known to happen.

With hindsight most people would probably act differently than they do, if people knew more they would act accordingly. For this reason, you must forgive yourself for not knowing better, most of your problems come from a position where you lack understanding, if you had understanding, you would more than likely deal with the problem more easily.

You must stop beating yourself up if things go wrong, you are not perfect, nor is the next man, you will learn from the experience and that in time will make you a better person, more able to deal with different circumstances.

So do a little forgiving, forgive those around you who make mistakes and forgive yourself. The world will become a brighter place if you just learned to forgive those who knew no better under the circumstances.

Learn From Your Mistakes

Imagine that god is a volcano and when the volcano erupts lava is emitted, which are millions of souls being created. As the lava cools and hardens it breaks away from the rest of the molten rock to create a single craggy rock, a single soul.

Over time this rock is weathered by the harsh elements of the weather, namely the wind, rain and the sea, the freezing cold and blistering heat.

Over time this rock is weathered by these harsh elements to create a lovely smooth stone, like your soul being weathered by the harsh elements of life where everything seems to go wrong.

But you learn lessons from your mistakes and misfortune to make you a better person, more rounded and smooth like the stone. But without the light of the sun, the god light, we would not be able to see the stone or your beautiful soul.
